Sid Roth welcomes Peggy Joyce Ruth

Sid Roth Comments Off

SID: Hello Sid Roth your investigative reporter here with Peggy Joyce Ruth. You know how to cause problems for someone;have three first names:PeggyJoyce.

PEGGY: Exactly.

SID: Now you look so happy and bouncy and cheerful and joyful.Sid there are a lot of people that aren’t that way,but about 30 years ago you weren’t that way.

PEGGY: 30 years ago I was under the care of a psychiatrist.I was under so much oppression and they had given meall the shock treatments that they could give me.And basically they had told my husbandto expect that I might end up in an institution. And they said I would be on medication for the rest of my life. And I just asked a question one day;I said Lord is there any way to be protectedfrom all the evil that’s coming on the earth? And I didn’t expect an answer. You know how sometimes you just ask questionsand you don’t really expect an answer. But I went to sleep and while I was sleeping I dreamed. And in the dream I was out in this open fieldand I was asking that same question;and I heard in my dream”in your day of trouble call upon me and I will answer.”

SID: Now did you know that came from the Bible?

PEGGY: Oh no.I didn’t know the word of God.I probably couldn’t have found anything in the Bibleat that time, had no idea.

SID: But still that had to be a great encouragement.

PEGGY: Oh I knew that something had happenedbecause on the inside I was just bouncing up and down;and when I came awake I knew I had the answer.I didn’t know what the answer wasbut I knew I had the answer. And then the next dayI heard someone just mention the word Psalm 91.They didn’t say what was in it, they just said Psalm 91and when I heard that I knew that the answer was in Psalm 91.I knew that no matter what it said,my answer was going to be there. And you should have seen mejust tearing up my Bible trying to…I ran and tried to find a Bible. And then I wasjust desperately going through it to try to find it;and in that Psalm were the exact wordsthat God had spoken to me in my dream. In verse 15″in your day of trouble call upon me and I will answer.”And there was an answer to every single fear I’d ever had.

SID: Fear; that’s a biggie. We are living in an age that medical science, the police, the domestic courts, your finances, there are no answersand literally there are more peopleand in particular even childrenthat are just like PeggyJoyce Ruth was.I mean you didn’t have any answers, but you say there are answers to every one of life’s problems.Give me an idea of one real life personthat took this Psalm 91 and had a miraculous solution.

PEGGY: Well I realized when I started studying.I studied it for several months, almost a yearbefore I ever started teaching it.And then once I started teaching itthen the people around us started catching on to itand they started…It’s not a magical formula. It’s just the word of God.And I found out that there are promises for protectionall through the word of God, but this is the only placewhere all of those protection promises are togetherin one chapter, one covenant. And so I realized this was a covenant that God had writtento give to us to give us hope. And so when I started teaching itthen my friends, my relatives, my familywe just started seeing miracles every day.

SID: But what happened to you? What about all that fear?

PEGGY: Well I was completely delivered from the fear;and part of the way that I was delivered- you know I had people pray for me,but the way I was delivered isI took these promises and I startedjust every day,I would do exactly what it told me.Verses 1 and 2 says “dwell in the shelter of the most high”"and abide under the shadow of the almighty.”And then start saying “God you’re my Lord, you’re my source. You’re the one in whom I trust.”

SID: Give me one example.

PEGGY: Ok so every day that I would do thatand as I taught this, we realizedone of my daughter’s friends; her name’s Julieand she lives in Fort Worth;and she knew to start confessing thisand running to God for her help.

SID: In other words saying it out loud.

PEGGY: Saying it out loud. It’s not enough to just think it.And this man pushed his way into her house and when he did,he came in with the intention of assaulting her;and she started confessing Psalm 91.And she started saying“I have the blood of Jesus and you can’t touch me.”And he would come at her and she would confess thatand he would just kind of lose his focus.

SID: Now what had he previously donebefore he came into her house?

PEGGY: Ok it was 45 minutes that she was confessing the word;and finally during one of those times when he lost his focus;she was able to get out the door. When they apprehended him they found outthat he had raped numerous young women. And this was the only one that been able to escape without harmand so you know we have…

SID: So in effect she would have been a statistic.

PEGGY: Oh exactly.

SID: If she did not know this ancient Jewish formula,Psalm 91.What about you? What do you think your life would have been like?

PEGGY: I truly believe that either would be deador I would be in an institutionbecause every day I was just absolutely miserable.I would just spend the day trying to wait for night to come;and then the moment night would come, then I would just thinkoh no, I dread the night;and I was just tormented day and night with fears.

SID: So do you relate to that?Is that something like you?Why don’t I recommend you try this ancient Jewish formula, and wait until you find out the other miracles;don’t go away, be right back.

Sid Roth welcomes Jerry Baysinger

Sid Roth Comments Off

SID: Hello SidRoth your investigative reporter.I find this very, very hard to believe. My guest, his name is Jerry Baysinger; I interviewed him on the radio. Now Jerry, you told me that there was a rabbi listening. You didn’t just tell me there was a rabbi listening to us.You said this was a rabbi that had cancer,I believe. And not only did you tell me there was a rabbi listening that had cancer, but you told me his first name. You told me his last name. How did you know this?

JERRY: I just knew the…just the presence of the Lord, through the Holy Spirit. It was just a knowing inside of me.

SID: But it wasn’t always that way.

JERRY: No.

SID: You had something that no one ever wants to hear.No one wants to get a death sentence from their doctor. But I’ve had friends that have had cancer of the liver, and that’s pretty much a death sentence. What did the doctors say exactly to you?

JERRY: Well I had gone to the doctor because I had a growth on my mouth that I thought was a wart. And I went in to have the dermatologist burn it off or whatever they did.And he looked at me and he saw some other places that didn’t look right so he wanted biopsies. And so when he did the biopsies, they came back malignant melanomas. And so he wanted to operate immediately to remove a large portion of my lower lip, my upper left ear, a big place out of my nose, my left lower eyelid, and a place out of my left forearm.

SID: Weren’t you kind of fearful over this?

JERRY: No,I really wasn’t prepared to hear something like that at all.I had just thought that they were going to freeze it or burn it off and that would be the end of it;and I’d go my merry way.And so they went to put me in the hospital to operate on me, to do the surgeries. And they sent me to my family doctor to have blood work done preparatory to me going in the hospital.

And they came back and said that I had something wrong with my liver functions, so they asked me to come back the next day. They drew blood again and I still had something wrong with my liver function. They tested me for AIDS, and mononucleosis, and hepatitis;and all of that came back negative. And so they sent me to the hospital to have biopsies done on my liver. And then the doctor told me “I have good news and bad news.”And I said “Give me the good news and he said I don’t think you need all the surgery they want to do.”And I was greatly relieved and I thought well good, but “What’s the bad news?” And he said “Well, your biopsies indicate you have advanced liver cancer, and you’ll be dead in a month.” He said “I wouldn’t waste my time…”

SID: What kind of doctor says something like that? That’s awful!Good news and bad news? That’s a joke! You must have been a little, I don’t know. What you were you?

JERRY: I was spaced out by the time they told me; when he told me I had advanced liver cancer,I just had a pit in my stomach and the hair on the back of my neck stood up.And I just kind of felt hot all over.It started all the way up to my head. And he said “You need to get your affairs in order.”He said “I wouldn’t waste my time with the surgery. It won’t help you because you’ll be dead in a month.”And I said “Is there anything they can do?” And he said “I’m sorry there’s nothing they can do.”He said “Go home and get your affairs in order.”

SID: So when you left the doctor what’s going on in your mind?

JERRY: My…the first thing that was going on in my mind is;I had just been married four years and what’s going to happen to my wife? It wasn’t so much about me, it was about my wife.I’m very much in love with her and I was just devastated.I thought somebody else is going to be spending years with my wife instead of me.And I went home and I couldn’t tell her for a long time. And I finally had to tell her.

SID: Sure, I mean the clock’s ticking.

JERRY: Yes, and I went to church every week like a lot of people do and doing God a favor. And I went to church that weekend and asked the elders of the church to pray for healing for me and anoint me for healing. And I gave my life to JesusChrist as my Lord and Savior. And I didn’t know it at that instant, but the Lord healed me.I didn’t feel anything like a lot of people do.They say they feel heat in their body.I didn’t feel anything, but what happened was in about two or three weeks, my melanomas started going away all by themselves. And, although I was still in a tremendous amount of pain with the liver cancer; and I continued to get worse and worse and worse;and I got down to 86 pounds. And during that time,God had given me Psalms 103 verses 2 and 3.It says “Bless the Lord oh my soul, and forget not all his benefits; who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases.”

SID: That’s a very inclusive thing.I mean it’s everything! All of your diseases, all of your sins, but the truth is people that love God are dying every day – prematurely.

JERRY: That’s right and I said to the Lord, “LordI gave my life to you what are you trying to tell me here? And are you going to heal me?” And the Holy Spirit spoke to me and said “I’ve already healed you.”And I said “You could have fooled me,” because I was getting sicker by the day.And I was getting so weak.I own a furniture repair business and I was getting so weak that I couldn’t even pick my toolboxes up to carry them. And I would go to somebody’s house on a service call, and tell them that God’s word says I’m healed; that I have liver cancers and melanomas. And they’d look at me and say “Well you don’t look healed.”And I’d say “Well I don’t feel healed either.”

SID: How much did you weigh again?

JERRY: 86 pounds.

SID: And you’re working and you’re in pain. And you’re telling them I’m fine…there’s something wrong with your eyes?

JERRY: I’d tell them it’s impossible for God to lie.It says right here in the Bible“….it’s impossible for God to lie” and he says I’m healed by the stripes of Jesus so I’m healed. And then people would say “Well I have ‘this and this’ the matter with me” and I said “Let me pray for you.God will heal you too.”And I would pray for people.

SID: Tell me the first person you remember praying for.

JERRY: The very first person I remember praying for was a young man about college age.And he went to church with us and he was in the hospital with a blood disease and he was dying. And my pastor gave me permission to go pray for him.And I went and laid hands on him, and told him how God had healed me of liver cancer; and gave him my testimony and God healed him too!

SID: How many years has it been since you were diagnosed with cancer with one month to live?

JERRY: Ten years.

SID: You look pretty healthy to me.

JERRY: I feel pretty healthy.

SID: Now I’m curious.God told you you were healed in his Word. But if you hadn’t agreed with God’s Word, do you think someone else would be with your wife right now?

JERRY: I do; because the people I pray for; the people that believe get healed. The people that don’t believe don’t get healed. It’s not necessarily a choice of God’s to heal; because God already did everything that needed to be done for us to receive our healing. It’s up to us to receive it and believe, just like salvation. You know we can’t be saved unless we come and believe.

SID: Tell me about, I find this almost hard to believe. In Africa, there was a woman without eyeballs?

JERRY: Right.

SID: Tell me about that.

JERRY: A young lady brought her up to me.I thought she was a child because she was short, but she was an older lady. And she had given her life to JesusChrist and the Muslims had taken their thumbs and poked both her eyeballs out.And all she had was eye sockets. And I felt such sadness and compassion rise up in me.And I put my hands on her eyes and I just stood there and I said “Jesus show her your mercy.”And I stood there for about ten minutes with my hands on her eyes, and I took my hands off and she had eyeballs, but she still couldn’t see.

SID: Wait, she had eyeballs, but there were no eyeballs! They were pushed, they were just pulled out almost. And you could see the eye?Did you see the pupil? Did you just see the white?

JERRY: Before she had nothing but holes and afterwards I could see the pupils and everything; perfectly formed eyes.

SID: But she couldn’t see?

JERRY: But she could not see.

SID: Well that’s still pretty good.

JERRY: But it’s not good enough for God.

SID: What happened?

JERRY: So I put my hands back on her face again, and I stood there for about fifteen minutes just praising God.I didn’t pray for her.I didn’t ask God to put eyeballs in her,I just said “God show her your mercy; show her your mercy.Thank you Lord for the mercy you’re showing her.”And I took my hands off a second time and she saw.

SID: How do you have such fervent…?I’m not hearing 99% faith in God’s Word. You have a 100%!How do you have that?

JERRY: That’s simple! The Bible says it is impossible for God to lie.If it is impossible for God to lie and it’s written in his Word, then we can have what he says we can have, if we’ll believe.

SID: Listen there are…I know I’m speaking to so many people right now.I’m speaking to you.Perhaps you have cancer.Or perhaps you have diabetes.Or perhaps you have horrible pain in your body.Or perhaps your back is hurting you.Or your neck is hurting you.Or you have migraine headaches, or heart trouble. There’s even a woman that has severe diarrhea.Could all these people be healed right now?

JERRY: Absolutely.

SID: All of them?

JERRY: There’s only one requirement.

SID: What?

JERRY: “Fear not.Believe only.”

SID: Sounds too simple.

JERRY: That’s why everybody misses it.We try to make it something hard.God makes things easy for us.You know we can’t work to get salvation. All we can do is come to him and receive what he has already done on the cross for us.

SID: I tell you this.“Let every man be a liar, but God’s Word is true.”Get ready for your miracle. We’ll be right back after this word.Don’t you dare go away!

Sid Roth welcomes John Kilpatrick

Its Supernatural Comments Off

SID: Hello. Sid Roth here at the Mobile Convention Center. I heard that there was a move of God’s spirit here. And John, you know me. He was shepherded at the great Brownsville Revival in Pensacola, Florida, and I would go there because I like the presence of God. I mean, I’ve never been a drug addict. I’ve never been an alcoholic, so I can’t describe. I can’t compare. But I can tell you the presence of God, there is nothing this world has to offer compared to this. And the presence of God, John, came on this pastor’s wife who had for some 23 years had been confined to a wheelchair from an auto accident. She couldn’t walk. Her husband married her just nine years ago. He had never seen her walk.

JOHN: No. So when we was helping her walk and I was watching his face, and I mean, just a look came on his face like, oh my God. And then I saw tears jump out of his eyes. And so then I knew, I said, whoa, we’re looking at a miracle here. ‘Cause I didn’t know if she had any movement or any feelings at all, but I mean, she was totally paralyzed from the waist down. And then a week later she came back and walked essentially without any assistance. We just sort of maybe touched her little bit just to keep her balanced. But now, Sid, she’s actually, they’re leaving the wheelchair in the pastor’s office. She’s walking out to the church. She’s standing up singing and she’s walking out in the audience and praying for people. The woman is walking.

SID: Tell me, because I’ve never had you publicly tell me this, and I am fascinated by it, about the orthodox Jewish man that was dying, that came to the Brownsville Revival.

JOHN: He was diagnosed by his doctor with a brain tumor and was very sick. As a matter of fact when they brought him down to Pensacola he didn’t really get his doctor’s permission to come. He asked the doctor if he could come and he cursed, and he said no. And so he said, “Well am I dying?” And the doctor said, “Yes you are.” And he said, “Well, if I’m dying what damage could it cost me?” So they brought him down and he got there about 5:30 in the evening. And I remember meeting him. And he was so dizzy. He was throwing up ‘cause he had equilibrium problems and his eyes were going sideways like this in his head, sideways, ‘cause of the pressure on his optic nerves. And he was so sick he couldn’t even hardly greet me. I didn’t really think he was gonna be able to make it to 7:00 when this started, but he did. And so in revival back in those days when the glory of the Lord would come in the church, you’ve been out on a cloudy day and feel the sun come out on a cloudy day you can feel it on your exposed skin like the back of your hands, your ears, and all. We’d be at worship at Brownsville and it would feel like the sun would come out. And sure enough, that night–

SID: Well right now I feel a heavy, good, but not bad, a heavy presence, and I’m having difficulty not shaking. Is that what you’re talking about?

JOHN: It is. Welcome to revival. [laugh] It feels like the sun come out. So that night he was in the service and it felt like, sure enough, during worship, it felt like the sun would come out. And so all of a sudden this guy stands up like this out of his wheelchair and he says, “Oh my God, I’m healed!” And I remember looking at him back there and I thought to myself, if that man’s standing that man’s healed, because he was so sick and so dizzy. Well to make a long story short, he went back to Atlanta, walked into his doctor’s office, not in a wheelchair, walked there.

SID: I wish I had been there.

JOHN: I wish I had, too. And the doctor, when he saw him he cussed again, and he said, “What in the blankity-blank are you doing here? How come you’re not in your wheelchair?” He said, “Well I went to Florida. I went to that revival.” And he said, “I want another MRI.” The doctor said, “No, no, no, no.” He said, “Look I’ve got your MRIs back there and I know what they look like.” He said, “Look, forget the insurance. I’ll pay for it out my pocket. I want another MRI.” They did one. The tumor was completely gone. He brought 30 people back to Brownsville, 30 Jews back to Brownsville with him on a bus, Sunday morning, and every one of them was saved and filled with the Holy Spirit.

SID: Do you hear that? Every one of them had an experience with God and filled with the Holy Spirit. I believe a miracle settles the argument. I absolutely believe it. And this is what I proclaim. Proclaim the Kingdom of God after you have demonstrated the Kingdom of God and everyone will want to know the king. It’s so simple. You need not be confused. We have a cerebral gospel. Like I talk to orthodox Jewish people and I say, look at Isaiah 53, 800 years before Jesus came to Earth. It’s a perfect description of Jesus, and they’re not even sure that the Bible is coming from God. They’re not even sure that there is a God. But show a Jewish person one, it isn’t an accident that the scriptures say, “The Jew requires a sign.” It isn’t an accident that the two times lightening has struck revival with Pastor John Kilpatrick. These are the ingredients. He has a heart for the presence of God .He has a heart for walking in holiness. He has a heart to pray and he has a heart for the Jew and Israel. I said something spectacular would happen on this particular segment. I guess I’m holding back. I’m expecting it on the next segment. Don’t go away. We’ll be right back.

JOHN: Jesus! Father, we pray tonight that every life will be touched and bondage will be broken, that addiction will be broken, and Father, the fear and the anxiety, and Father, the weight that people are carrying tonight will be lifted in the name of Jesus. God, I pray for every sickness, every disease in the name of Jesus. By the power of the blood of the shed blood of the lamb let the healing power of God flow through your body right now in Jesus’ name, in the name of Jesus.

Sid Roth welcomes Pastor John Kilpatrick

Its Supernatural No Comments »

SID: Hello. Sid Roth here. Welcome to my world where it’s naturally supernaturally. And wow, that’s all I have to say. Lightening has hit twice because on Father’s Day, 1995, lightening hit in Pensacola, Florida, and there was a move of God’s spirit. Four-and-a-half million people went through the doors of your congregation. Never in your wildest imagination did you expect four-and-a-half million people from all over the world because they were hungry for God. And then that ended. But there was a prophesy that you didn’t know at the time about there was going to be 50 miles away another move of God’s spirit. Tell me about that.

JOHN: It was prophesied at the very time they prophesied the revivals coming to Pensacola that it would go 50 miles to the west, and I didn’t know that, you know. All I knew was there was there was a prophesy about a revival coming to Pensacola. And so whenever I left Brownsville, in 2003, I moved over here and started a church in 2006. I had been gone from Brownsville about close to three years. And when so I came over here to start this church I didn’t know at that time about the prophesy that it was gonna go 50 miles to the west. And if you leave the parking lot at Brownsville and go to the parking lot at the Daphne Civic Center it’s exactly 50 miles from parking lot to parking lot, exactly 50 miles.

SID: I want to take you back to that Father’s Day service because I like it. That’s why. I understand, you know, as any pastor that has a large congregation, you have to have certain authority and things in place, etc. But you got hit by the spirit of God to the point where you were on the floor for how many hours?

JOHN: That day I was on the floor for four hours. But honestly, I was really not incapacitated, but I was really almost useless for three months.

SID: I have an inside information on you, well maybe I won’t tell you who from, but someone in your house very close to you had to take your shoes and socks off every night because you didn’t have the ability.

JOHN: That’s right. And I had to have ladies come home with Brenda to help undress her and get her ready for bed because she couldn’t get herself ready for bed. I couldn’t take my shoes and socks off. And actually, it took me about three months to be able to function and to get my sea legs and to be able to function under the glory where I could pray for people. It took me about three months.

SID: John, what is the glory? How would you describe the glory?

JOHN: I would say the glory is the manifest presence of God. It comes from the word “kabad”. It’s a Hebrew word. It comes from it. And it means “heavy”, the heavy, weighty presence of God. And so, you know, most people understand the anointing. Most people understand the blood. But when you start talking about the glory they get confused and they sort of intermingle the glory with the anointing and they’re completely separate. The anointing is God’s authorization in a person’s life to do the works of the ministry, but the glory is God’s weighty presence. And that’s what happened when they dedicated Solomon’s temple. The glory came in to the point where they could not even stand to minister.

SID: I read about that, and it is so tangible there. And that was under the Old Covenant. How much more should we have under the New Covenant? But now let me take you fast forward. Lightening struck again. You had a young evangelist that you knew nothing about beyond, you know, he got a good reputation, but you had never heard him yourself, a little nervous and he speaks. When were you touched by the glory? And I understand this was the first time of this magnitude since the Brownsville-Pensacola days.

JOHN: Yeah. He spoke for me the remaining two nights of my conference, this year, which I held in July, and he did a wonderful job on Thursday night. But Friday night when he came in miracles actually broke out, and we saw blind eyes open and deaf ears pop open.

SID: Out of curiosity, about how many deaf ears popped open?

JOHN: I saw six people’s ears pop open within a space of 20 feet. I saw ears pop open.

SID: Did you know at that moment that he’s back, lightening has struck again?

JOHN: Yes, I really did. I knew, I heard the familiar sounds of a revival. A revival has a sound and I heard the sounds of revival. I heard them there and then I heard the moans, and I heard the praise, and the worship, and it was sustained. It hits a crescendo and it just sustains itself, and it brought back so many memories of Brownsville. And I knew, I said to myself, oh my God, it’s back. And so this revival is not only a revival of God’s presence like Brownsville was, but I would say that the differences, the miracles are more plenteous, they’re more frequent, and they’re major miracles. We had miracles at Brownsville, too, but these are all the time, and I would say by the hundreds.

SID: Wet my appetite. Tell me about that pastor’s wife. As I understand it, she had an auto accident and she was in a wheelchair unable to walk for 23 years.

JOHN: Twenty-two-and-a-half years. It happened on Christmas night 22-1/2 years ago and the only way I ever knew her was in wheelchair. As a matter of fact whenever I left Brownsville my wife, when she’d go to church she’d drive to Mobile to the Bishop’s church, so she knew that. We knew them and they’re wonderful people. And boy, when they came that night and made them pray for her and she said, “Oh, I feel your hand on my foot, my leg,” I knew that she didn’t have any feeling below the waist, and so I knew, I said, “Oh my goodness.” So she moved the foot things off the wheelchair and she tried to stand up, and she stood up just for a second and fell back down. You could tell, I mean, she didn’t have the ability to stand.

SID: Well her muscles had atrophied from all those years.

JOHN: They had atrophied. And so she sat there for about four or five more minutes, and this time she stood up. And when she stood up she sustained herself. And so Bishop got under one arm and I got under the other arm, and we began to help her walk. And at first she could just barely move her feet, but by the time we came back after two or three laps around the church she was moving her legs like a majorette.

SID: What was going on inside of you, in you?

JOHN: I wanted to run.

SID: You wanted to run.

JOHN: I mean, I was jumping up and down and I thought, my God, I’m gonna snatch her shoulder out. She had her shoulder wrapped around my arm and I just jumped up and down. I thought, I’m gonna snatch her shoulder out of the socket. ‘Cause, I mean, I was watching Bishop’s face, Sid, when she was walking the first time, ‘cause I knew that he new his wife, and I was watching his face when he was trying to help her walk.

SID: He had never seen her walk. How long had they been married?

JOHN: Nine years and she’s been a wheelchair 23 years. So I was watching his face, and whenever she started moving her feet I saw a look of horror come on his face like, oh my God. And then I saw tears jump out of his eyes.

SID: John, hold that thought. There is such a presence of God and that’s the name of this congregation, Church of the Presence of God. That’s what God told him to call this place. I can’t wait to what’s going to be happening when we come back. Be right back after this word.

JOHN: Something deep inside of me was calling out to the deep of God and I said, “Lord, there’s gotta be more.” And I would come in here in this building and I would scare myself, friend. It was the stillness of that dark pre-dawn hours, 4:00 in the morning, 3:00 in the morning, and I’d lay on that front row and I’d grab my belly and belt out like a cow. Oh God, I need you, Lord! I would walk these floors and I would cry out loud. I knew nobody was around. I knew nobody could hear and I’d lift my voice some times until I would be hoarse and I would say, “God, there’s more. There’s got to be more!”
